Ourdoor pictures from Nemeton Sanctuary
The forest is a constantly changing place so each year we make changes to accomodate our meditation walks and still allow the trails to regenerate and stay natural. If we rake too many leaves, the soil erodes. If we pick up too many branches, the leaves don't stay in place under the trees to begin decomposition to feed the tree. We have added placed to sit; places to gather to talk; places to just be natural and allow you to breath deeply and completely. It is our exercise in chopping wood and carrying water - simple but very rewarding to be part of the natural world and to feel its pulse and hear its song.
Resting spot on the trail near the Abaton
A little place to sit next to the waterfall. Hopefully the deer won't eat the Wisteria vine we hope will cover it. We had a different trellis on which we tried grapes, Clematis, Kiwi and the deer eat them off to the root. We have our fingers crossed that they will allow this one to grow!
